Boulevard Lakefront Tour needs your help

Greetings Working Bikes folks,

The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation seeks volunteers to help make the 20^th annual Boulevard Lakefront Tour a success!
 
The mission of Chicagoland Bicycle Federation is to make bicycling, walking and public transit so safe, convenient and fun that we will achieve a significant shift from environmentally harmful sedentary travel to clean active travel.  We advocate for transportation that encourages and promotes safety, physical activity, health, recreation, social interaction, equity, environmental stewardship, and resource conservation.

Thousands will ride September 7, 2008 in one of Chicago's longest-running bicycling events.

There are a number of volunteer options available for those who wish to help before, during, and after the event. Simply giving your help for a few hours means the world to us.

All day-of-event volunteers receive an event T-shirt, free picnic lunch, volunteer raffle prize entry and an invitation to the CBF annual volunteer party. Eligible groups of 10 to 15 people can also qualify for monetary donations. Pre-event volunteers receive an event entry in exchange for 6 hours of volunteer time.
