The Chicago Critical Mass TENTH ANNIVERSARY ride is THIS FRIDAY, September
28.
In the unlikely case that you're unaware, Critical Mass is a MASSIVE group
bike ride that's been going on monthly since 1997. The ride gathers in
Daley Plaza downtown (50 W Washington, under the Picasso) and departs
sometime after 5:30 or 6pm. Likely to cover some 20 winding miles having no
definite end; with purpose being fun, comradery, and making the presence and
power of bicyclists undeniable to cars.
This should be the most spectacular one ever, with a record number of
thousands certain to come, including multiple music trailers, pedi-cabs,
clowns, freak-bikes, and a band; effectively manifesting a force of nature.
Pre-parties are planned. See website for details.

Though police help facilitate the ride to some degree, they've been stern
lately. For best results don't be seen drinking, obey police commands, and
don't be a masshole.
