Special "Naked Night" Performance of Chicago's BARENAKED LADS
To Benefit Great Lakes Area Natural Tans Society
CHICAGO, IL -With the audience as well as the cast in the buff, a
special naked night performance of BARENAKED LADS will be held on
Friday, September 7 at 10:00pm at the Bailiwick Arts Center in
Chicago, with a portion of all ticket sales going to support the
Great Lakes Area Natural Tans Society (GLANTS).
"This special benefit performance will help GLANTS continue to expand
and to offer a variety of activities for its members who enjoy nude
recreation," said G. Carlos Henderson, GLANTS founder and cast member
of BARENAKED LADS.
The audience for this benefit performance is co-ed, and as common
practice among naturists, each brings a towel and gym bag when they
arrive (clothed) at the theater box office. Once the audience is
inside the Studio Theater of the Bailiwick Arts Center Mainstage at
1229 West Belmont, the disrobing begins both on-stage and off.
Audience members sit on their own towels, and dress again before
exiting the theater.
GLANTS, a Chicago charter club of the American Association for Nude
Recreation (AANR), believes in the essential wholesomeness of all
human bodies, and in social nudism, asserting that the exposure of
the human body to light and air is beneficial to physical and mental
health, and that recreation is enhanced by the nudist experience. The
diverse group hosts other indoor and outdoor events throughout the
year, including bowling, bare-b-ques, beach parties, camping, and
Nude Year's Eve events. For more information about GLANTS, visit its
website at www.freewebs.com/glants or email

Bailiwick's BARENAKED LADS has been celebrating its own hilarious
brand of nakedness, and is now performing in its third year in
Chicago. The theatrical group recently was also hits at the Fourth
International Theatre Festival in Dublin, Ireland and a Provincetown
company is currently running at the Post Office Cabaret Theater in
PTown.
