Yours truly regrettably had to miss June's Critical Mass (partly because of
Chicago's bizarre practice of barring bikes from trains during festivals).
The next one is on Friday July 27th (and the last Friday of every month).
The ride gathers in Daley Plaza downtown (50 W Washington, under the
Picasso) and departs sometime after 5:30 or 6pm. This ride is wondrous and
MASSIVE (over 2000 riders in summer months?!?) and nearly 10 years old.
Likely to cover some 20 winding miles having no definite end; with purpose
being fun, , and making the presence and power of bicyclists undeniable to
cars. In answer to the several questions I got after mentioning this last
month, NO, the ride is not a naked event per-se, though nudity its not
unprecedented. Come as bare as you dare, though be aware the great majority
are clothed, but many are festively dressed.

I was at a naked hot spring in the mountains...
but it is sooo good to hear it went well considering the first year we did
it when I was passing out flyers half the people screamed at me and told me

Aw Aurora I missed you so much! I could feel your spirit everywhere as we
