Under the Sun Events has a full calendar for the fall! We wanted to
update you on upcoming events and ways to get involved!

Wednesday, September 3, 2008 - Dam Fast 5K #3- 6:30 p.m. Oroville Dam.
The Dam Fast 5K Run Series is a no-frills, fast 5K designed to
encourage running improvement. Runners of all levels--beginners to
advanced--are welcome to come out and test their fitness each month.
Runners will be timed at each event and each month the times and
percentage of improvement will be updated online at our forthcoming
website, www.underthesunevents.org. Even if you've missed the first
two you can still participate in and and get the race-day adrenaline
for less than half the price. Race your friends, race yourself or race
the clock to… See and Feel the Improvements! Cost: Only $10

Saturday, September 13, 2008 - FCA 5K Fun Run/Walk - 9:00 a.m. Lower
Bidwell Park
Under the Sun Events is pleased to manage this run for the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes. The FCA 5K Fun Run/Walk supports FCA's mission
to encourage, equip, and empower athletes and coaches to serve as
examples and make a difference in their community. Registration is
available online at active.com or by picking up the registration
brochure at various locations and mailing it in. We will also host
race-day registration. Our generous sponsors include Mt. Shasta Spring
Water, Recharge All Natural Thirst Quencher, Ray Morgan, Bidwell Perk,
and Team Sports.

Saturday, September 20, 2008 - Salmon Run 5K, 10K and Free ½-mile Kids
Fun Run
Runners and walkers of all levels are invited to come out and enjoy
the beautiful trail that meanders along the beautiful Feather River.
We are very excited this year to introduce the 10K course, as well as
our FREE ½-mile Kids Fun Run for children ages 10 & under. The mission
of the Salmon Run is to promote a healthy lifestyle for kids, their
families and members of our community. Registration is available
online at active.com, by downloading the registration brochure at
orovillesalmonrun.com, or picking one up at various Butte County
locations and mailing it in. We will also host race-day registration.
Our generous sponsors for this event include Team Sports, Fleet Feet,
One 62 Coffee, Lots A Java, Mt. Shasta Spring Water, Recharge All
Natural Thirst Quencher, and Lundberg Family Farms. The Salmon Run
2008 is sanctioned by USA Track and Field.

Saturday, October 4, 2008 - 30th Annual Mozart Mile - Bidwell Park
Under the Sun Events is pleased to manage this event for the North
State Symphony. Please join us for the 30th Annual Mozart Mile 5K Run
and Fun Walk through beautiful Bidwell Park. Live music will be
performed along the course by members of the North State Symphony.
Stop and listen while you enjoy a complimentary beverage, a cup of
gourmet coffee, fruit and assorted home-baked goodies. Bring your
mild-mannered mutt for the Dog Walk. Registration is available on

Sunday, November 2, 2008 - 34th Annual Almond Bowl - Chico's Hometown
Footrace
Under the Sun Events is pleased to manage this event for the Chico
Running Club for 2008. Please join us for the 34th Annual Almond Bowl
5K and 10K events. We are excited to highlight t-shirts designed by
Jake Early. There will be limited prints available for purchase at
Fleet Feet. A portion of the proceeds benefit the cross-country teams
at Chico and Pleasant Valley High Schools. Registration is now
available online at active.com. Registration brochures will be
available soon at various Butte County locations. Our generous
sponsors for this event include Fleet Feet, Recharge All Natural
Thirst Quencher, Lundberg Family Farms, River City Heating and A/C,
and Mt. Shasta Spring Water.
