Hello DJ,I'm not sure if I've been keeping up with all the emails correctly. I would like to double check a couple of things with you before the meeting. When I registered for the graduation race on Sept 19th I selected my group at that time. Is there anywhere else I should go to select my group as well? Last, will there be any training/running at Monday's meeting? Just curious if I should come dressed in regular or workout attire?Thanks

I have coached in the past and developed a back injury and was unable to participate last yr, but have been in chiropractic therapy for over a yr. I was really looking forward to coaching again this yr. How do i find out about this opportunity?

Ladies! We have a great opportunity this year: Several of the coaches are now (or w ill be by July 13th) CERTIFIED RUNNING COACHES, having attended classes and passed the test for RRCA Certification.
Thus our training is going to consist of running at specific paces (according to ability) designed to best TRAIN your body. This will be a very interesting experience as the training will be at slower than race pace in order to build up a base of physical changes.
If you have not registered and are unsure what group would best meet your current abilities, here is some helpful information:
(Please note: Groups will have pace groups.. If you are unable to stay with the available pace groups you may be advised to move to a different Group. Please be aware that coaches are trying to meet your training needs to the best of their ability.)
SUGGESTED GUIDELINES ON SELECTING ONE OF THE FIVE AVAILABLE GROUPS:
WALKERS: IF you currently walk for fitness and want to improve your walking skills OR if you DO NOT currently have a regular walking or walk/run exercise program
BEGINNING RUNNERS: IF you currently run/walk or jog slowly up to 2 miles, 3x per week, and have never done a 5K.
INTERMEDIATE 1: IF you currently run regularly up to 3 miles, 3x per week, and have a recent 5K with a best time of 41:00 – 45:00
INTERMEDIATE 2: IF you currently run regularly up to 3 miles, 3x per week, and have a recent 5K with a best time of 36:00 – 40:00
ADVANCED: IF you currently run regularly over 3 miles, 3x per week, and have a recent 5K with a best time of 35:00 or faster. Advanced Group will involve hill work and workouts 3 miles or greater at pace without walk breaks.
