Kathy - thanks for your kind words about the program.
Amy - yes we will kick it all off on June 30th with a meeting in the evening at the Agricenter, train for 10 weeks and then the race is September 6th. Details will be posted at www.memphisrunners.com on the Women and Running page.
You can register that night or at any of the trainings which will be Monday nights.
Hope this helps

Yes, you sound like you are hooked pretty good. I started the running program 2 years ago and I am going to St. Louis this weekend to run my 4th Half- Marathon. I turn 50 this year, so this running thing is making me feel young. I have met so many new friends and I think it is the best thing that I have done in a long time. The program usually starts up in July with a meeting right after the 4th to get everyone signed up. Just go to the Memphis Runners web site and they will keep you posted. I would suggest that you join and you will get a monthly magazine and all kinds of online info that will help you. Runnersworld.com is also full of info. Maybe we will run together one day. Good luck!
Later,
Kathy Norris

Hi! I am looking for any information on this program. I am very
interested in learning how to run properly and think this is the way
go about it. My questions are:
a. Do you just show up and register on the meeting day?
b. Is there any preparation activity that is helpful before beginning
the program? (i.e. - Couch to 5K)
I would like any feedback anyone has to offer. I am very excited
about this program! I just ran/walked my first 5K on Friday night and
am now obsessed!
Thanks, ladies!
