* For NSW sailors - remember the Illawarra Yacht Club race (Travellers
Round) on Saturday October 7th. The Maccers will be heading on down
the coast Saturday night for some fun sailing on Sunday; all welcome.

More info (start times etc) to follow. The Illawarra YC guys are doing
a great job in getting the Juniors going, there should be a decent
fleet with the MAC uni trailer heading down, so please let's good a
good turnout.

* Thanks to those who gave feedback on the timing for the nationals;
I'm incorporating all that in the N o R.

* The Australian Windsurfing Association etc would like the Windsurfer
One Design to have some sort of organisation. All we need to do is to
get the windsurfing association in each state to nominate one person.
Ian Fox, head of the AWA, is happy if we just present him with a list
of people who have put their hands up.

It seems like a good way to go, to me. We get some form of
organisation, without having to run a full-on class organisation with
all that involves. At the nationals we can work out some way to ensure
the nominated people listen to the rest of the class and do what they
want.

So, can I ask whether this is okay with everyone, and secondly, who
wants to go for it? I think we can all think of a few names.

* Both Illawarra and DAC have seen juniors joining in already this
season. DAC kids weren't going to start until daylight saving but due
to popular demand, there'll be a group down there earlier.

* I got the download for the GPS run at the Marmong Regatta (mentioned
last post). Top speed was actually 25.4 knots, for two one-second
periods. Top 10 second average was 22.4. Tassy and Victoria have
better speed-sailing conditions, beat they could beat those easily.
