Hi Chris and All,
My suggestions are -
Thursday - Briefing should be at 10am, then start the freestyle asap, say
10.30 on Thu for a couple of hours. Latecomers can go at the end or on
Friday. Then run the slalom in the afternoon.
Friday - Briefing 10am, then complete any unfinished freestyle/slalom from
10.30, then allow time for a lunch break before the marathon.
Sat/Sun - Briefing 9am, then racing between 9.30 and 5.30. Juniors and
beginnners races can be planned according to conditions. Ideally
juniors/beginners race first up until 11.30, then start main fleet at
12.00, two races back to back, then 1 hour lunch break, then another two
races followed by a break, then one final race. This would result in 10
course races over the two days, with 2 discards. Or could just have 1
less race on the Sunday for an earlier finish before the presentation
dinner.
I'd be happy to start the dinner at 7.00. Personally I will not be
driving home on the Sunday night. Not sure about others, but I think that
would be a big ask to drive home late at night after the sailing and
presentation dinner.
I like the sound of the meeting to formalise the class a bit more. This
would be on Saturday night?
Cheers,
Roger.
