Hi Windsurfers,
Thanks for that message Chris and also to Paul.
Great timing as we've just finished our last meeting, in Melbourne anyway, about the Nationals, and it's all really sweet.
It's still 32degrees down here and believe me, we wouldn't have been sitting down the yacht club instead of being in the water, in that heat, if it wasn't worth it. The program's looking good and we've got some nice prizes and they're not just for the top guys.
Went to Paynesville on the weekend to check it out some more. The yacht club's all fired up for Easter. Some really good winds and beautiful spot to sail. Windsurfing was great on Saturday, fell in a few times for fun and survived. David Wallace, a local windsurfer some of you would know, has found a good spot for the slalom and freestyle.
All the Victorians are working hard to make it a good
event for us all, eg Geoff Buchan and Derek and Tina are doing heaps and Gerald and Quentin and others. Even Keith's helped out and he's in WA for now.
So hope you're all getting ready for the Nationals.
And please bring a torch if you can, for the cruise on the Saturday night!
Happy sailing, Kerry - on behalf of the Organisers (Tim, Lloydie and Kerry).

Woops, hit the "send" button too soon! Sorry.
As well as Paul Ivshenko's enquiry, I'm assured by the organisers of
the nationals that they have been in contact with the government
environmental safety gurus and other authorities, and have been down
to the scene to check it out. They confirm that the algae isn't a
problem. Other locals I know are turning up to race cats and boards in
the open regatta that will be sailed at Paynesville at the same time.
There's well over a dozen people heading down from NSW alone, so it
should be a great regatta.
