As well as Paul Ivshenko's enquiry, I'm assured by the organisers of
the nationals that they have been in contact with the government
environmental safety gurus and other authorities, and have been down
to the scene to check it out. They confirm that the algae isn't a
problem. Other locals I know are turning up to race cats and boards in
the open regatta that will be sailed at Paynesville at the same time.

There's well over a dozen people heading down from NSW alone, so it
should be a great regatta.
