It's all happening folks.

The DAC twilights start at Rodd Point, Iron Cove tonight. Be there at 6pm or
be....err, not
there at 6pm.

And following from that is the DAC Interclub this weekend. We're expecting a
good roll up
of kids and seniors. We're hoping to break the magic dozen with the Juniors.
Illawarra has
picked up some new faces, and the DAC training scheme is running hot. Reports
from
Middle Harbour say that Matt Ivshenko is flying, so there's a shake up under
way.

Juniors start at 10 pm (Sat) and 10.30 (Sun). Senior Races (gold and silver
fleets) start at
1pm (Sat) and 12.30 (Sun).

Saturday night will feature a pizza dinner in the DAC clubhouse, which has a
licensed bar.
Racers can sleep in the club.

Entry fee? There is none. No cash, no hassles, just fun.

See you there.

WINDSURFER KICKS SERIOUS AT UK FAT FACE FESTIVAL

The Fat Face Festival is the most popular windsurfing event in the UK. This
year, it
attracted about 300 entries to the fun racing. Two hundreds and twenty eight of
them
raced in the Freeride fleet.

And who ran second out of the 228? An original Windsurfer Mk 1 sailed by a
Jonathan
Pooley. He finished with one win and three seconds, behind only a Raceboard with
10.4.

for a lovely pic of the Wally surging back to the finish for another second,
leaving dozens
of shiny new "efficient" sails way back.

If it's any consolation, that was the "Freeride" (ie fun sailors) fleet he was second in (with three seconds and a first) and not the Pro fleet. Having sailed...
