I respectfully disagree with his "right" to do what he
is doing. He had a contract with WVU. He decided to
terminate the contract under a provision that allowed
him to do so in exchange for payment of a specified
dollar amount. Without the buyout clause, he has no
right to leave and go to work for another program. He
could always quit outright, but since he would still
be under contract, he would not have the right to go
to work for another school. So the only way he has a
"right" to go to michigan, is if he pays the buyout.
here is a tip for all on the list. rod is trying to get into a negotiating
position so he can lower the buyout figure. he knows exactly what he is doing.
we shall see if WV has the courage to go all the way and try and break his
balls. yeah sure. they will take 2.5 million and everyone will go back to
work. key word here, negotiating. this is why savvy, highly successful people
do.
as for any fool that believes any of this will effect recruiting at
michigan, dream on. guy was interviewed today on TV and did a great job.
certainly a
lot better then that nut job miles.
anyone that believes this will change anything in college football really
needs to get in touch with reality and throw those penn state glasses away. far
away.

Justified how? Legally or ethically? Anybody can sue

doesn't mean it is "justified". If you are a man of
honor, you live with your decisions and keep your
promises. Once again, he knew he had the buyout and
that the buyout clause of the contract was not
conditioned upon WVU doing anything but continuing to
pay his salary as head football coach. So, my answer
to your question is NO. His legal maneuvering isn't
"justified". If he wins becuase of some decision in
court, I can't say that justice was served.

end this practice overnight by making the infraction an
automatic disqualification. Please pass my concerns and

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
It wasn't just me. If you were listening to the radio broadcast, Jack
Ham was being pretty blunt in his criticism of PSU's ends for pushing
upfield and losing containment on those plays. He said the defensive
plan was to keep the TAMU quarterback in the pocket -- that he was a
lot better outside the pocket than inside the pocket.
But I don't want to sound hypercritical here. I was just observing
that the ideal time to stop that drive was early, and they could have
done it if the TAMU quarterback hadn't been running free. After 5 or 6
plays it was tough to stop because the PSU DL was gassed.
When TAMU made it down to the 2 and called that timeout, that was the
best thing they could have done for PSU because it gave the DL time to
get a little oxygen and allowed Bradley to get some fresh legs into
the game for that fourth down play.
