Re: [We Are...Penn State] Found some BB news

Thanks Rocko. I'm not sure how well he'll do at 6'3" 180 in the Big Ten but he's
still young and Scovill's dad was a TE. You never know. At least we're getting
some more practice players.

Lancaster McCaskey was always a tough pre season game for us at Scott HS in
Coatesville. We ruled the Chestmont BB league when I was there though.

Quoting Rocko <orocko@...>:

Dave,

"The Reading schools play in the L-L league in FB only. Scovill was quite a
HS player, but I don't know how well that translates to a D-1 guard. The
local writers were comparing him to the best players to ever come out of
the league. Guys like Wally Walker. His height helped him in HS, but he's
only average size for college. Great shooter though."

McCaskey has been the class of the league lately, sending several players

to D-1 schools (e.g. Dustin Salisbury - Temple).

Interestingly enough, the best player in Manheim Twp. did not play for

them. Lee Melchionni (son of Gary) played at Germantown Academy in Fort

Washington, and now plays for Duke (Dad's alma mater).
