Wayne Rooney will be fit to start the World Cup campaign, according
to reports
The Sun newspaper says the 20-year-old striker's recovery is
astounding doctors.
England team-mates believe he could be available for England's
opening match against Paraguay on June 10th.
Rooney after his injury Rooney is due to have a scan on his broken
metatarsal in his right foot on Thursday - the result of which will
influence England head coach Sven Goran Eriksson in his plans for the
tournament.
The Manchester United player suffered a double fracture playing
against Chelsea three weeks ago.
He broke a metatarsal doing the 2004 European Championship and did
not play for ten weeks.
The first game of the World Cup is on June 9.
