This weeks hash updates:
• Hash Recaps
• Morris Park Hash Cookout!
• Triathlon Plans
• Traveling Hound
Don't forget about our Friday Hashes in Morgantown at BiLo.
Bret had a nice hot course through Westover for our CJ Maggie's hash
complete with two BN. Your webmaster has been a bit injured so the
rest of the weeks updates are a bit unknown. Sounds like the Elkins
gathering was great with a lot of food had by all.
This Tuesday we'll be hashing from Morris Park in Fairmont. Be sure
to bring your favorite dish as we cook out and enjoy a great run
through the hills. Morris Park is very easy to get to. Take I-79 to
the Pleasant Valley road exit. And turn towards Pleasant Valley.
When you come to the stop sign turn left. Maybe a half a mile up the
road or less you'll turn right into Morris Park, it's at the top of
the hill in the curve (look for sign). I believe we're at Pavilion
#1, which is rumored to have electricity for all our crock pot
needs. See ya there at 6:00! Our Hare promised that we'd get to eat
too and keep the hash to a reasonable time. Fun!
We have this update from Garth on our water stop for the triathlon:
The triathlon is fast approaching and several have signed up to help
including:
Garth Lindley
Laurie Abildso
Kimberly Fisher
Sandy Mathews (after swim)
Jay Taylor (after run) (even though we are doing a water stop for the
run????)
Frank Price
Liz Vimllo
Mark Offutt (maybe)
Tom Druge
Allison Hedrick
Charlea Lindley (1:00- 3:00)
(I apologize if I misspelled any names because of the handwriting)
We are committed now. They need us from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM on
Sunday, June 26th. We will be in Morgantown someplace. They said
it is best to have 10 people to operate the water stop at one time.
Some people said they could help for a few hours, but would have to
leave. Some people said they would have to wait to decide if the
could do it because of work or something else. Please let me know
if you can help and what time you plan to be there. We need some
people to be there the whole time. The race will provide everything
we need for the water stop, we just have to provide the labor and
decorations.
Do we have some ideas on a way to decorate the water stop? Can
someone
bring a portable radio for some music? Lawn chairs (for us, not the
runners)? Chalk the road? Anything else?
I will give more details as they become available.

Also, we Linda sent in this update about her travels and hash visits:
hey jay... thought i'd give you an update. went to the SH*T hash
last week. it was so hot there were probably more walkers than
runners, but they tried for a nice blend of road and shiggy.
unfortunately, they placed the BN right in patch of PI so I've
gotten my second case of it in my life (the first being from that
mega powerline hash that Dan did from Sports Garden). Afterwards I
was called into the circle as a visitor since I missed the last
circle - I was glad I actually had a hash name to say rater
than "Just Linda", but realized I had NO songs in my song bag when
asked to share one. oh well, guess I have to pay more attention
during the few times we sing in WV. I should have just busted out an
old rugby song, I'm sure there is some overlap.
yesterday i went to a Charlottesville hash in Lake Anna. It was
a "run with inflatables" as the end of the hash was at a hasher's
dock on a lake. the "run" was more like let's walk through as much
shiggy as possible so we can touch every single PI plant within a 3
mile radius. luckily i decided at the last minute to put on pants,
but it was about 90 degrees so it was a tad hot! the BNs were too
good though... one was margaritas and another was cranberry
martinis, a step up from Natty Lite. the final BN was beer in a
cooler on a floating dock in the lake, so we had to swim out to it
and have the circle out there. much fun was had afterwards with the
boat, waterskis, tube, and jetski. I scared my passenger when I was
on the jetski and asked "so how fast CAN you be going and do a
figure 8? Let's find out!" fun!
okay - off to go workout as these hashes only seem to be working my
tolerance muscles. :)
hi to everyone...
See you at the hash,
ON – ON !!!
