Laurie had a nice run from Black Bear laid out for all the hounds.
They kept running though and it seemed like they forgot about the
chalk in their hands at times. But it was still a fun scenic course.
Thursday Frank lost everyone with a wild course with checks that had
the hounds scratching their heads. Saturday Pudder kept the
tradition for the week of few marks going with his trail, but kept
the hounds happy none the less.
By the way, we've had a number of walkers coming to the hashes. We
haven't gotten to the point where we'll have a walker hare and a
running hare yet, but we're trying to encourage our hares to keep
things tight for the walkers and the more walkers there are the more
fun it is for them. So this is a good way to get some of your
buddies out who have been afraid of the hash run to maybe get
involved.
This week our goal is to have too many marks. False trails in every
possible direction and loops that seem to keep you dizzy as you run
past the walkers for the 6th time. To kick off all this excitement
will be Bret as he goes from the Derby in Fairmont. This is the
place just across from East West stadium on 12th street. To get
there from Morgantown take I-79 to the downtown exit. Follow Rt. 310
into town until you cross the 3rd Street Bridge. When you get to the
light after the bridge turn left onto Fairmont Ave and continue to
12th Street. Turn left and it's just after the stop sign.
Also, Thursday after the hash there has been some interest in
getting together to watch WVU take on Texas Tech in the NCAA
Basketball tournament. Looks like the consensus is to head out to
Sport's Garden after the run. So come on out and enjoy the fun.
We'll run from our regular spot at Giant Eagle on the corner of
Fairmont Ave and 12th St at 6:00.
Now on to future big events!
Mismanagement needs volunteers! We'll start drafting if we have to.
Our camping trip is set. Don't forget to pay!
We're having our 2,500th hash on May 17th from McAteers in
Fairmont. Hold this date open and be sure to be ready to have
some fun.
Until our next circle time,
ON – ON!!!!
