Hash Alert! 6:00 Tues, Jun 23rd Waterfall - Fairmont - ALSO: Friday   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1563 of 1641 |
Sorry about the late email. Still unpacking from the camping weekend! What a
great time that was. We had a few out for Friday night where we survived an
intense thunderstorm and downpour at 4 AM. Wow… was it loud. Saturday we braved
the river for our float downstream. It was a little quick, but not to the unsafe
point (hashers do anything unsafe, never!). Of course we grilled, smored, and
enjoyed the campfire. Ted goes all out for these events and deservers a huge pat
on the back! Thanks Ted!

There were a pair of glasses left at the campsite that I have in my Jeep. Let me
know if they're yours!

Last Tuesday Don had us going from Rio Grande and showed us some scenes in the
south park area of town. It was a great loop that took us towards Gene's and
then over to Mario's Fish Bowl and back again. Pretty sweet.

This Tuesday Matt will take up the chalk and try his luck from the Waterfall
Restaurant. This is where Backwoods used to be down on 1602 Locust Ave past
Wendy's. The easiest way to get there is to head to Fairmont State and keep
going on Locust Ave.

This Friday Jack has invited everyone out to his house for a beer crawl hash,
wing's covered dish dinner, and just plain fun hanging out. Jack doesn't read
the emails so maybe Janet will let me know any more details since I'll send out
anther email about it Thursday! (hint, hint) Directions: Basically you'll take
the downtown exit of I-79 and follow Rt. 310N till it ends in town. Turn right
onto Rt. 250N once in town you'll need to turn left and find Rt. 19S which is
Locust Ave. Just after Fairmont State College be looking for Bell Run Road on
your right. You'll then turn left onto Brookside Drive.

See you on the trail,

ON – ON!!!
