greetings,

though it has a few weeks since my last post, the group has grown
and gained new members.

i would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone who
recently joined. i realize that we all visit from time to time and
are from different areas of the globe, and all of our time is
valuable. it means that much more when our members post. it is
truly appreciated.

i would like to announce, i have recently accepted the invitation to
become a member of the USMA(United States Martial Arts Association)
under the direct guidance of 10th dan, Phil Porter.

for those of us who are unfamiliar with Phil Porter Sensei, he was
the head of the United States Judo Federation for 20+ years.

his present association, represents all styles of martial arts and
welcomes all interested from all styles.

as a result of my becoming a member, the WSEF and Davis/Cabales
Serrada System is also recognized by a world renowned organization
and its board of trustees.

with the USMA, i intend to work towards "senior examiner" status for
Davis/Serrada Escrima System, within the USMA

i will further work to make the late GM Angel Cabales a part of the
USMA hall of fame. hopefully these will be achievable within the
next year.

i am very pleased that unlike groups to which i had been a member in
the past, we have kept our dignity and "left our egos at the door"
so to speak.

again, it is my pleasure to welcome "warriors" of the FMA, and
anyone who is interested in furthering our brotherhood throughout.

a special shoutout to "the bear" warrior.

respects,

guro mike
