Hello,
I am new to this group, but I am always intrested in discussing,
learning and interacting with other warriors. Here is a little
background about myself.
I have been warrior training since I was a boy. I currently teach in
the central illinois area and have a martial art hall of warrior
training website. I placed a link in the link section.
I have studied various styles, but one of my favorite by far has been
escrima. My sifu/sensie is 2 generations remove from the philipians
his Dad is from Hawaii and grandfather is from the phillipino islands.
So the style I learned is a the Ceballos family personal style. It was
quite an honor to have this passed on to me.
Although escrima is not my only style it heavily influences every
aspect of my warrior training and instruction. I truly enjoy working
with the sticks and have trained in transitioning to macheties and
knives.
It is a great compliment to my aikido, jujustu and kenpo training. Any
way just wanted to give you all a bit of background. All my escrima
training is very practal and would enjoy any information that you
could share on the systems and training that each of you do..
Peace,
The Bear Warrior
