Yes, there was a clear break. But I hadn't thought to mention that and it is an
important fine point.

No problem. Pointing it out helps the newbies who might only see this situation
once in their "career". It was a first for me. And I was able to get it right
because I had read about it, thought about it, taught it.

Junior BB district tournament. Number 10 has made it to first base. Pitcher tries to pick him off. Then the manager of the defensive team comes out to appeal...

Just a side note Rita...  If the pick-off attempt was a continuation of the play that got the BR to 1st...  then it doesn't count toward disallowing the BOO...
