I heard about the car from a friend and looked at it before the current seller bought it. I remember Wally autocrossing a Spitfire but not this car...but I could be wrong. The estate was  for an Elmer Peters...was Peters Wally's last name?...I can't recall.

Anyway, the car was not well prepared for road for racing...maybe OK for autocross though...I don't think it ever raced...or would have passed tech!

The current seller had offered $2100 for the car and spares which the estate executor was more than willing to accept and was about all I thought it was worth...so I did not offer any more....we'll see how hard I should kick myself once the bidding ends.

In addition to the TR4 he also had a 427 cobra kit car with about 30 miles on it ...needed paint, but sounded great!

Someone probably got a deal on that too.....
