yep that is a good analogy of it. I use an SA helmet just because of the track days and I once did ProRally. Makes me want to just keep paying the money for the SA's.

Correct, The SA helmets are required to be lined with fire resistant materials (Nomex, PBI ) and the chin strap must be made of FIREPROOF material , typically...
