Motorcycle helmets are really only designed to survive one large
impact. However, Automobile racing helmets are required to withstand
multiple impacts to the same area(like your head hitting the rollbar
during a rollover). But in my opinion, a motorcycle helmet will work
fine for autocross. If you ever get on a road track or upgrade to
HPDEs then get a qualified helmet for such racing.
