Yeah but it's nice and warm nowadays so maybe we can cross our fingers and
rub a rabbit's foot and do other good luck things and it will rain and
soak the ground,
then get nice and warm and dry the ground just enough to keep it from
being soupy
but not so much that it's dusty.
In other words... PERFECT
Thanks. It helped that a few a of the heavy hitters were missing like
Doug and Rick. My head is swelling uncontrollably...ego surging to
dangerous proportions:)
Now if I could just rewire my brain to punch it and go when I mess up
and slide past a gate going at top speed instead of stopping and
backing up...doh!... I would be doing even better.

The donation account at National City Bank is under my sisters name not Tara's.
So if you make a donation the account will be found under Debbie West at National City Bank and it is an anonymus account. So she does not know who contributes.
Thanks

All,
As some of you may know my niece Tara passed away on April 12 from injuries from a car accident. My sister is going to be having a tough time with the bills and expenses and such, so I am passing this info along just in case you or someone you know might want to help out.
My niece was Tara West, my sister Debbie's only child. Tara was a senior at Vandalia Butler High School and just turned 18 in
February. She was driving home on Good Friday and slid off the road on an icy patch and struck a parked OSP car. She passed away six days later.
An account has been setup at National City Bank under the Tara West Fund for contributions.
Attached is a flyer for a fundraiser this friday in Vandalia.
Nice to see some WOR people there last weekend. We really should get down to your events more often. Not this weekend though.

The tighter the course the harder time I have because 1st is so low it is unusable except to start with. But luckily that has ZERO effect on how much fun I am having!
You sure you are compensating for the rally tires right?
But yeah that was a lot more open than any of our other courses before. I was hitting the rev limiter in 2nd on my Taco at the end of that straight in the afternoon which has never happened to me before on any of our other courses. That has to be 50 something before they tightened up that area.
It was a very hard to read course. I was able to take most of the straight and that whole big sweeper turn pegged but not many others seemed to do that. I saw a lot of lifting and multi apexing that didn't seem needed.
Something was up. Line choice seemed to really affect turn speeds because I don't normally beat all of SF, PF, and mod 2, and every RWD but 1 in my lowly pickup, but I did this time:)

Usually about 3-4pm, all depending of course. Rarely much later than that.

I highly doubt we'll ever run in the corn field again, but if you use
Google or Mapquest to see an aerial view of the site, you'll see a lot
of course layout. We generally run on that (think like Adrian was,
only softer/no gravel) so it gets as muddy or as dusty as you can
imagine. We'll probably be burning new course in as the lot has been
widened a bit last month, so there will be grass for the first few
runs as well.

Come on down! Bear in mind though that our courses tend to be a bit
tighter. I calculated that I was hitting 65-70+mph on the back
stretch on the second half of the day on Saturday! Definitely not
used to that...
About what time do things wrap up for a typical event?
Is the course going to be on grass like some of the vids or in the
corn field?
I think I am gonna try to come down this week but I have to work on
Sunday so I need some info.
PS. Thanks to Pete and John and any others who came up to Adrian last
week end. It was fun to have more RWD cars to play with! Long live RWD!

Hi,
For some reason the posted line did not work.
I am looking for a RallyCross course designer for the SCCA RallyCross National Championship at Hastings, NE this year.
If you are interested please send me a brief RallyCross resume.
I really suggest heading over to www.swov.org and joining up on the message board. There is a Wanted to Buy section that you can put up a request for parts. Or you can try www.car-parts.com and do a junk yard search to see what you come up with.
I'm still working on the new rabbit. I will hopefully have it at the cage builder next week. I may have to miss a few events, but I'll end up making it back that way.
Hey gang.
If anybody comes across a 95ish vw golf in a salvage yard that is
fairly local, let me know. looking for a hood, white i hope and some
other body trim parts.
Thanks allen

Will try to make it up there. Putting my old car back together as I
type. New car will not be ready anytime soon, so the old horse has to
last a bit longer.
I do want to hit at least one or two Detroit events this year.
Just a reminder for anyone living in Northern Oh or IN that might want
to come.
Adrian is 38 miles NW of Toledo.
Here's the link for info/to register:

Try out your top secret parts at Adrian then mop up at Dwire's next week!
I still hope to make it down to the Dwire's at least once, maybe the
28th. That place just looks so fun from the videos I have seen.
Chris Lanctot.
I used to have a green Neon that came to be known as the Green Turtle.

Is anybody else going to dyno days? I can't wait. I'm taking the
Albino turte. The world will finally see the awesome power of the VW

lets rock.

Well.. the original plan was to get it sold off and replace it with teh Ne0n
(yo.) that we ran in the $2006 Challenge. Unfortunately, teh Ne0n wound up
being a total turd (I blame the guys working on it :) ), and needs a little
more work before it's running anywhere near its actual potential. I absolutely
refuse to let that stupid car beat me, however, so we're going to plug up the
oil leaks, get the tune right, and take it back in October for the $2007.
Since we're pretty close to the magic $999.99 mark in our budget (to keep it in
the running for the sub-$1k), we fear breaking something before we have to take
it down to Gainesville, so the CRX is going to get another year of having the
poo beaten out of it before we're ready to let it go. Ideally, if everything
goes right, we'd like to unload it after the last event of the year, but that
will depend entirely on the status of its replacement.
Oh, and unless
there's some major change in the car's structural integrity, no matter what the
video says, $100 will be a bit too low of an offer. :)
