Triathlon Training in Westchester.   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #421 of 2089 |

I would like to add alittle info to the recents posts about tri
training and century rides.

The Westchester Tri club rides Saturday mornings from Suny lot 1 and
runs Sunday mornings from Sleepy Hollow High School.
http://www.westchestertriclub.com/ is listing the current rides as 2
hours and the runs as 1 to 2 hours. They usually build up there
volume leading up to IM Lake Placid. Most of the riders have aero
bars or ride full tt bikes, the rides tend not to be as hilly as WCC
or USI, but have fast sections. I think that they ride as fast or
faster than WCC A rides, but not as fast as the USI tuesday night
rides from High Caliper.

I find that inorder to get in a 100 this time of year I have to ride
to the ride, and than get some more miles after the group ride.

WCC has a great series of rides in early summer building up to the
double century.

I hope this is helpful.

Aaron
