Hi Eve,
Not sure if it's a must to have a sleeved wetsuit (all depends on what you can
endure), but a sleeved suit would definitely make it more comfortable/bearable.
i'm planning to wear a full-sleeved suit, neoprene cap and use ear plugs (i get
ice cream headaches easily!)..
it is a 1.3 km swim (not so long) so that works in our favor too.
hope to see you at the swim,
John

4 weeks. It looks like a good quick one to get acclimated. I also aim to try
and get in the water at Oakland Beach (Rye NY) around the 1st weekend in may
(will be away next weekend).

me that the water temp is currently at a balmy 48 degrees (give or take a
degree), so in two weeks, who knows.. it could be up to spa temps of 52!
