The Race with Purpose folks will be doing their signature 21-Mile training run from Riverside and 165th across the GwB and up River Road to the Ranger Station out and back on Saturday morning. By my count we can support a few more runners who might be training for Chicago, Westchester, NYC or another Fall race who are ready for this challenging long run. There is a 19-mile option which cuts out the mile climb to the Ranger Station.
The run includes accelerations and a finish fast 3 miles to train your body to draw upon different met pathways and push yourself beyond traditional perceived boundaries. Please bring a watch with multiple countdown or interval timers to remind you to change your effort level at regular intervals.
If you are interested in joining us on this run, shoot me an e-mail with you contact information and long run pace so I can give you the starting time for your group.
There is no cost for this run, just bring an enthusiastic attitude a wealth of moxie and a pair of healthy legs.
If you'd like to come out on your bike to get a ride in and provide support for the runners, we'd love to have you as well and you can get a good workout in doing intervals on River Road.
Cheers,
-Coach Adam
