Thanks everyone for the great discussion on the proposed ride
classification changes. Please continue to contribute to the dialog.
It is your club, so make your voice heard.

I would like to point out to everyone that My WCC keeps ride
statistics. Leaders are asked to report the agreed on average pace
after each ride. My WCC compiles these, and the results are in for
the 2006 season. You can view them at:

http://www.westchestercycleclub.org/mywcc/rideStats.php?year=2006

You will need to log in if you are not already. The first table lists
the overall category A,B+,C,D, and the second list each pace A+,A,A-, etc.

Also the system can show you stats for a specific leader. Here are mine:

http://www.westchestercycleclub.org/mywcc/leaderStats.php?leader=2590

Also you can look back at previous years to 2003 when we debuted the
ride board.

http://www.westchestercycleclub.org/mywcc/rideStats.php

A quick comparison shows the A and B+ rides speeds have been creeping
up over the years. The B rides have stayed about the same, and the C
and D rides show signs of creeping up as well.

Thanks for the great discussion and please keep going.

Bruce
