RE: [WCCChat] looking for route

119 is the flattest route that I have tried.
My favorite is Eastview / Grasslands Road, but it is a big climb up to 100A,
and the downhill if you go straight is very scary with no shoulders.
You can skip the narrow downhill (the uphill section has good shoulders) by
making a left on 100A/100 and a right on Lakeview.
When you near the bottom of the hill by the Bronx River Pkwy. make a right
onto Commerce Blvd. through the cemetery and a left onto Legion Drive at the
other end. THen a right onto Broadway after crossing over the Bronx River
Pkwy. will bring you to the Kensico Dam plaza and take the bike trail south
from there.
A little complicated, but it is the best I've found so far. If anyone has a
better route, I'm all ears.

Bill

I'm thinking of bicycling to where I work in White
Plains. The trip on the Old Putt Railway is sweet -
but how do I get all the way into the middle of White
Plains (I'm near The Westchester Mall) without riding
in commuter traffic on 119? Anybody have a route?

Thanks
Lin
