The most important feature of any bike is fit. As far as prices go, I
think most bike shops tend to sell bikes at list, or close to it. You
want a shop that will give you the best service, but it also has to be
close. Others have recommended shops they like, and use one if it is
close by. I use Bicycle World in Mt Kisco. They sell everything from
kids bike to professional quality racing frames for upwards of $10K.
The owner Eric is very knowledgable in fitting bikes and bikes in
general. I highly recommend the shop, but if you are not that close,
you may do better else where. Bicycle World is about 30 minutes away
from me, so it is hard to get there, but if I were to buy a new bike,
it is the only place I will go.
