Hello Tee:
Andrew Kelly from Metro Bicycles here...
I have seen a few responses to your original "Bike Purchase" post and would
like to offer only two suggestions.
Buying a bicycle from a store that is both conveinent and friendly/reputable
to your location and needs is paramount!
Buying a bicycle from a store that has what you want....product
selection/price deserves a bit of research.
There are many shops in Westchester, all of which are probably good shops
with good product. Just try and remember the two items above, especially
the FIRST.

Subject: [WCCChat] Bike Purchase
Hello, I am newbie to cycling or should I say and "Old Jack" as the
expression so goes...I have visited numerous bike shops with pricing
that has brought me to reality as far as the world of cycling is
concerned. I would like to purchase a HYBRID and I have looked at the
TREK 7100, Giant "cypress" and the Fuji Palisade. I also have to look
at a friends cannondale "Adventure 600". Can anyone direct me as to a
shop with reasonable pricing and good service. I visited 2 shops in the
area and to my surprise they were selling above MSRP. I am amazed to
see that in the cycling industry, however be things as they may...Your
help would be appreciated. Also because I will be riding to the train
station a GREAT LOCK would also be a helpful suggestion. Peace and
thank you in advance...Tee
