Hey im a two figered bowler and i average about a 195, im continually
getting better. Im only 13 so people also believe that every year i
get better. Anyway is there and tips on this style?

I'm pretty sure they do run Jr/Adult leagues in the fall but they are
usually during the morning hours. You're best bet would be to ask about
it at the front desk the next time you're there. If my memory is
serving me correctly the have a Saturday morning Jr/Adult league in the
fall but not 100% sure.

Hi All,

I saw the link for this group - I actually had my kids bowling for the
first time this weekend, they didn't o bad, and of course I haven't
bowled in many years, but I did OK.

Was thining o getting into an jr/adult league with my son - any idea if
they do anything like this in the fall leagues - lloks like summer
already started.

great junior bowling program over at Chacko's.

Thank you both for the advice, we will definitely be going to Danny at
Chacko's.  My daughter also wants to switch to Chacko's Junior Bowling
program next year instead of Stanton's.  I'll let you know how she
makes out.

I agree with Ken.  She should definitely have the ball redrilled.
She should not be getting blisters at all.  I also agree that you
should see Dan Chacko at Chackos, just call first to get his hours
because he is not always there.  An appointment would be better so
that you are no running back and forth.

It definetly sounds like the ball is not drilled properly. The blister
on top of the thumb knuckle should never happen because the top of the
knuckle should never touch the inside of the ball. That is an easy fix
by simply widening the hole. However if she is having a problem with
other fingers as well I would have the ProShop remeasure her and
possibly redrill the ball. I have always found Danny at Chackos Family
Bowling Center in Wilkes-Barre excellent. He has drilled many bowling
balls for me and my 10 year old son and if we ever had a problem he was
more than happy to fix it until it was right.

Looking for advice.  My daughter is a Junior Bowler who has recently
started to compete in tournaments. She has also started to get a
recurring blister on the top of the first joint on her thumb and on her
middle finger on the inside next to the 4th finger. Is it the way the
ball is drilled? It is not a fingertip grip. She uses an Ebonite
Tornado. She does use rosin.  She has no tape in her finger holes.
We used bowlers tape on her fingers and that worked this last
tournament but her scores were lower-any relation(?). Last year was her
first year bowling so this is all new to me.

I created this message board because I could not find any message
boards that were strictly for the bowlers in the Wilkes-Barre area.
When I say W-B area this does include the surrounding areas (Dallas,
Nanticoke, Scranton).

I bowl both in Summer and Winter leagues at Chackos Family Bowling
Center here in Wilkes-Barre. I have been bowling for the past 2 1/2
years after taking about a 10 year break from the game. Now that I
have begun bowling again I am absolutly "hooked". I drive my wife
crazy because I'm always talking about or going bowling when I'm not
working. I'm not the greatest bowler in the world but I think I hold
my own but I'm always looking to improve. Over the past two years I
have improved my average by 47 pins. I have learned alot from the
guys I bowl with and I am always glad to share that knowledge but I'm
always looking to learn more too.

Enough about me, sit down post your experiences, tips, where and when
you bowl, or just vent some complaints (just watch the language
please since this board is open to minors as well).
