Subject: [VolleyballEaling] Outdoor Volleyball
Weather permitting, volleyball on Ealing Common tomorrow Wednesday from 7p
AS you probabily know on the 8th of July Italy is hosting the World
League of Volleyball and it will be taking place basicly next to my
house .....is anyone interested to see a Volleyball Match at high level
live..........( to be noted: high level is not Mallory Vs Polonia:P)
Hello Armgard,
Thank you for your interest in Ealing Volleyball Club.
We were planning to play outdoors on Ealing Common today, but I think
the weather has conspired against us! Never mind, I'll let you know when
we next have an outdoor session. I normally update the Yahoo web page
with news of imminent events (next to the photo)....follow this link:
http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/VolleyballEaling/
As the end of the season approaches, we will only be training through
the summer, and attending the occasional tournament. You are welcome to
join in!
This coming Wednesday, we have our penultimate league match at Gumley
School, Isleworth, and the following Wednesday we will have training,
also at Gumley, to which you are welcome to come. (Do you have transport?).
The venue is : (also see attached map)
Gumley House Convent School
Gumley Gardens (off St John's Road)
Isleworth
Middlesex

By tube: From Osterley Tube station, turn left along the A4 (Great West
Road) for about 1000m, then turn right into Wood Lane at the lights. Go
straight down Wood Lane for about 500m, across the level crossing, until
you come to an intersection with a main road (London Road). Go straight
across into Amhurst Gardens for about 300m until you reach a T-junction
with Twickenham Road. Turn right and follow the main road for about
300m until you reach a mini-roundabout. Turn right into St John's Road,
and Gumley Gardens is first left after about 50m. Nearest train station
is B.R. Isleworth, which is at the other end of St John's Rd.
Please feel free to phone me if you have any questions.

Andy Rodziewicz

Can we make this training and the ones that are left, good hard
training sessions? Can we train in the summer as well?

I hope you can make it!

Hi guys,
As I already had a chat with Andy, I would like to join your team for
the season. I've been told that you had a game on Sunday, at what time
is it supposed to be.
Kind Regards
Angelino
Hi everybody!
Thanks so much for letting me train with you on wed. I'm very glad i
can feel the spirit of volley again. I'm looking forward to the next
session.

Andy!
What about having another team session? What would be the best way
for letting u know? Hey by the way I've updated my match availability
today. Thousands apologies for the delay!
Lazy team gang! Update yours as well!!!!
Training is great!! Nothing better to be sweating along with cool
nice looking guys! I really enjoy it, and find it very useful and
tiring, which is very rewarding. Also improving my service after
lifting the flour bag for a couple of days.:.P
Also just wanted to share with you a very popular group in
Spain "Andy y Lucas" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEUuKDa3rSQ (if
this link doesnt work cut and copy in the Navigator)
Dan, I love your loud pants!
Being a bit more serious, I Think there's a need to get more
committed in the matches and fight for the team and 2 win! I believe
that analysing the match between all the players- a simple "what went
right and wrong", "what are we going to do differently" and having an
action plan for that would work. Any other constructive ideas?
Kind Regards,
Ester C
yes Oke i agree with you About Dustin and about the fact that we have to train more blocking and attack but it also true that in a game situation if oyu don't recive properly it is going to be difficoult for the settere to put the ball where it's suppose to be to start a good offense .... i just would like have at least one session at week ...:)
I dunno if Dustin will be joining the team but I think if he is an
excellent player and also a good choice for setter. Secondly I was
thinking if we can get it right we can start training for a three man
block. Also there are attacking drills that we must do if our team is
to go higher... Luca what do u think???
hey thanks , i'll try to have a bit more play for the next training session thathk for the feedback is very usefull to me.i hope the team spirit will keep on growing since we need it.
Hi Luca, just wanted to say I thought training on Weds was really good
and each routine was well planned and good for game situations.
Hopefully the results on court will soon start to reflect the hard
work you have been putting in with us all. It's nice to see so many
people attending the training which is a reflection on how much more
people are enjoying it compared to last season. There is a good
atmosphere at sessions and I personally feel the squad is starting to
bond well.More of a team spirit instead of a bunch of individuals
turning up and just playing for themselves.
The only change I feel would be good would be to have at least the
last 45 minutes or so playing matches in order to put the training
into use. If the only games we play are the actual matches against
other teams we will probably be very slow getting into a pattern of
play which will put us on the back foot and won't help confidence.
Keep up the good work.
I've been saying we need a good setter for years! It would be great if
Dustin became a regular.
