Keith,
The banquet was great except that I talked. Things are good with the knee. I am training and rehabbing on a good schedule. We missed you and some of the other Philly-Whitemarsh connection. Tatonka, Sariskey and Gilfoyle (all going to Lauderdale too) were there though. We are working to enter 35+, 45+, 50+ and 55+ sides in Lauderdale. I think we will be quite strong with sides very similar to Aspen in the 45's and 50's but we have had limited response from the 35's. Richard Thomas is helping me to organize that side but it appears that we are "rebuilding" and need to reach out to more 34+ year olds that would like to play. Any help you might provide would be appreciated. Also, this is the first time that a 55+ match will be played. We have a good core group but would like to pick up some more players. The Florida Old Boys are committed to fielding a 55+ side to play us in Ft Lauderdale and in Aspen.
I am going to Ft. Lauderdale but doubt that I will play. I have played in worse shape before but I may be getting smarter.
My goal is to play in Vancouver in May. I think we will take a 50+ side up there to have a mini-tour and explore with the idea of taking at least two teams, including a 40+, next year.
We need to get the Savannah side organized for mid-March. That is a 35+ bracket and we won it last year. Will need players there too.
What do you know about the dates for Stone Harbor this year?
Are you interested in any of these events, even if you don't play?
Talk to you soon.
Mike
