Hi Girls!
 
Is anyone out there still keen for a rugby team next year? if so we need to start recruiting now!!! Especially with unigames coming. Get people interested and we might make another team yet.
 
And, This wednesday there is High school girls semi finals at vikings. Bomaderry v's Mitchell high school. The game starts at 12. Can anyone get out there early and talk to these girls? I've gotta work so i don't have a hope of getting there but i'm hoping someone can....

Hey there!!

 

I'm always keen for ruggaz, id like to see it structured differently though for us country teams so its not as commited.... such as playing 10's every fortnight or so.... (influenced by Sheri), but lets see how we go recruiting first....

 

I'm not avail this wed cause of work, but otherwise i would have been keen....

Hi everyone

If we  can get a team together then you can count me in too. Even though I decided not to play this year I realised how much I missed it when I watched a game during the season. My winter wasn’t the same without you all!

well girls, the responces haven't been brilliant. I'm puttin it out there early, we need serious dedication if this team is gunna get up and running again. From what I gather, ppl want to play but they want an already developed team to sub into. I can tell you now that's not gonna happen but we can get close to it if we start getting a team organised.
 
So don't just start thinking about it, get girls interested and when we get at least 10 we might have a hope for the new season and start looking for a coach, prelim. training etc... Keep posting if your interested and lets get excited. Rugby! Woohoo!

Hello ladies,

 

As always I would love to see the team back up and running! If I can suggest one thing that you should probably do as you first step is put together a committee with one goal in mind…recruitment!! If you can get a group of 4 or 5 together and start postering the gong, in particular the uni you will be amazed at the response you get! Seriously, we did it once, it can be done again. Start small and build up, but you cant just email the yahoo group and hope to get enough players, you really need to start branching out! Even talk to Mark at the North Gong, he will let you put posters up there…

 

If we can get a team together in Melbourne, you ladies can most definitely do it in the gong!!!

 

I have some posters that I made of our team down here that you can pretty easily change the name and number on and use…if you would like them let me know.

Heya mate, I'm super keen for a team down here, I was talking to some of the

shamrocks old boys today and they reckon there's a few ladies there that wanna

play. Also I heard that some of the younger girls who came last season were

still quite keen to play. Maybe we should also ask the wollondilly girls what

there plans are for next season.
