Yeah im organising a unigames side, hopefully the comp will run this year... Il

Damn, Spero My Hero beat me to it, but basically what she wrote was
correct.  In the past we have set up a table advertising for a
Unigames team, but told girls signing up that trianing for unigames is
on the nights that our Saturday team plays :)  Those ones really keen
will show up, and those up for the piss up at Unigames well, there are
always handy to bring along for some antics ;)  By the way is there a
team maybe going to Unigames because if it falls in the school
holidays I am so there, I haven't been to Melbourne yet, I can be your
drink spiker - I mean drink runner ;)  Well thats it from me, the
teacher who has an hour off in the afternoon and is doing nothing with
her time - SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lazy!!!

P.S Oh and I am playing Country Champs this weekend and their is an
Illawarra team in their my hopes went up because I thought I'd be
seeing someone only to be shattered to hear that it was Wollondilly,
what happened!!!! Did they ask you girls to play??

Hey Guys
Its true that you can only advertise for uni clubs and uni games but this can
work in your favour.  You can adbertise as a unigames team, get the girls down
to training and then have them join vikings.  On clubs day, your signs need to
be unigames related but nothings stopping you from slipping the odd promotion
for vikings during your convo... if you need any other info about clubs day feel

I'm not at uni so i don't really know what goes on at O-week but i
think that you can only recruit for uni clubs or uni games, not
outside teams like we are. But someone who's at uni could maybe look
into that when the time comes?

I have had a phone call from Ann-Maree who some of you may remember -
Talia and Ann-Maree played in our very last game before the semis last

and there will be drills and training in the morning, BBQ lunch (yes i
beleive there is free food), and then the students will play against
each other in the arvo. She would like a few people to help run some
drills, dress in rugby clothes, eat some bbq, and maybe ref the games
in the arvo.

If anyone is free next thursday and wants to help out (and eat free
food) let me know. My number is 0411 050 170. I can't go because we
have a week of interviewing next week otherwise i'd take an RDO and go
down. The more interest we can get the better we off will be for next
year.

K so the whole jerseys thing is getting somewhat complicated with the
amount of people who want the same numbers, so i was thinking we should
all get together one night piss it up n have ourselves an Auction.

That way people wont feel burned for not getting the jersey they
wanted.. they will just have to fight for it.

I realise there are girls in sydney or afar who are wanting jerseys and
organising a night for them to come down if they can for this might be
difficult but i just wanted to get the word out as an option for
selling off these jerseys..

i agree totally with all your issues on the jerseys....
everyone that played last year should get first choice....if theres any
left...let all the others know....

Just to let you know that it's Sarah that wants #12, not me :)  Which i think is
most reasonable considering she was a founding member, and played the 3 years of
Vikings life (only out when injured).  And I support Shadow in her claim that
May should be given #13, and Coons reserved a jersey too for all their effort
over the years.

Hey all,

just letting you know that i have one more week left of school
before holidays, so I will be coming back to the gong for about five
days. Getting their on Sunday, and then leaving the next saturday.
I feel a Radge night in the air for thursday night but will message
people when I get to the gong!

And on the subject of jerseys, I think that preference should go to
those who played last year and maybe even the year before, in the
actual jerseys up for sale, and that might help in the choosing of
who gets what jersey etc...

I also wouldn't mind 15 seeing thats the number I played in when we
first got those jerseys oh so many years ago, BUT in saying that
Morgz you did play in it last year, so I will be quite willing to
see you with it :) Either way, a backs number would be FANTASTIC.

ALSO, WE NEED TO KEEP 13 FOR MAYBELEEN, EVEN IF SHE DOESN'T WANT TO
PAY I WILL FOR HER BECAUSE THAT IS RIGHTFULLY HER NUMBER SEEING OUT
OF THE THREE YEARS OF VALKRIES THAT IS THE ONLY NUMBER MAY HAS
PLAYED IN.

and we need to give one to Coonz, I will also pay for this because
she has been quite the backbone of the team since Heidi left, and
deserves either the flankers number, or 5/8th, or inside.

Thats just what I think though...

still super keen for aussie unigames, even though there are no vikings this

3 cause its the number i've played most in and of all the rugby gear i
have i dont have a jersey/ shirt with a 3 on its back...but if its
already been claimed any forwards number would be

p.s its extremely sad that the team will not be in existance this
year..very very sad day for womens rugby and in particular illawara
womens rugby...hopefully it wont be the end forever..
