Subject: Re: [Ventura_County_H3] New poll for Ventura_County_H3

Here is my suggestion to the VCH3's monthly schedule:

Rather than predicting which Sunday of the month VCH3 will always run on, why not pick the most appropriate Sunday of each month at the preceding hash? And then, promote the hell out of it!

Most hashers don't know they're going to show for a hash until they realize they've nothing better to do anyway. And with the information highway, the when and where can be in front of our faces in a matter of minutes. Unlike years past when communication between anonymously nicknamed hashers was so tough that run schedules were stagnant and set for life ("During the Summer: All runs start at Donovan's Pub, Saturdays at 3 p.m."), scheduling a single run date per month gives the kennel 4 weeks to publicize and inform their own, as well as other hashes for miles around! Take your time, choose the best Sunday of the month, avoiding holidays, conflicting hashes, that vasectomy surgery (even though it's outpatient, it still hurts!)

So, set the date for November (the 9th looks good to me) and inform the world! You could even plan a monthly beer-tasting event for mismanagement to discuss the next month's schedule! By the time the November hash arrives, the determined date for December could be sold to the highest bidding hare during November down-downs!

Just a thought, out of the box.

MAX

Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
Ventura_County_H3 group:

What Sunday of the month would you most support
holding the VHC3 hash?

Remember, H3SoB holds their trails the 1st and
3rd Saturdays. Now, I like a 2-day hash weekend
as much as the next person, but it's tough for
some to get that much free pass from home.
I would recommend that we go with the 2nd Sunday
off the month starting in Nov.

o 1st Sunday; Same wk as H3SoB on Sat
o 2nd Sunday
o 3rd Sunday; Same wk as H3SoB on Sat
o 4th Sunday
