Even if I were in shape I might not do the Creedmoor Ride against steady 28 mph winds on the return.

I'm riding 15-20 mi with a slow ACA ride leaving from Mellow Johnnie's at 8:30 a.m.

Robert,

I'm thinking more of trailwork on Saturday and a brisk/fast ride on Sunday. There's one from Dripping Springs that's 60+ miles that I've never done. Interested??

What about Stanton, Gerry etc??

I had just finished following my race when the 35+ 4-5¢s came in.  The winner was wearing Velocity kit and looked remarkably like Ritchie.  I did not verify the results.  If it wasn¢t Ritchie, it must be his twin.  Maybe that is who finished 13th in New Braunfels,

The report was from Bob Pillmore who I surmise was officiating at today's race at Pace Bend. He sent it from his Blackberry. The race was scheduled to start at 8:05 a.m. and Bob sent the email at 9:45 a.m.

I think not only did Richie win, but he won the day after getting hit in the head by a bike. :-)

How about just setting up a morphine drip to ease the pain. You could probably fashion a holder to attach to your helmet or in a camel back.

After I stood up I realized I could not move my arm to the outside
because the bone was popped out. After trying a few times, it just
went bloop right back in. I generally have loose joints that semi-
hyperextend. I think this made it more susceptible to the
dislocation, but then again didn't really injure it that bad.

Hello All

After the crash at Walburg, I didn't think I would be able to race
Sunday. I dislocated my shoulder and couldn't put any pressure on it
to ride back to the car. Frank and Tom had to put my bike on the car
rack for me. Thanks guys. Emily had to get it off for me. I couldn't
even get my own shirt off. It was aching on the drive home and it felt
like it was stiffening up.
I got home, ate some fish tacos, and it started to feel a little
better. I took a vicodin Emily had left over from having the baby and
some Advil and after a while I noticed it wasn't hurting at all as
long as I didn't move my arm too much.
I was starting to see a little glimmer of hope and get the crazy
idea that I might be OK in the morning. I put the bike on the trainer
to see if I could hold myself up. No problem as long as I was seated.
Emily said it was just because of the Vicodin. I decided I would try
again in the morning. I iced my shoulder and went to bed.
In the morning it felt even better. I even put the bike on the car
rack myself.
The actual race was a lot less interesting until the end. It was
pretty tame. A big difference from the difficult day before at
Walburg. There was a big bunch sprint uphill at the finish and
everything just worked out perfect for me.
I was able to move up right near the front and get behind Ernie, a
big guy from Hotel San Jose that I've ridden with before. My plan was
to go as soon as we hit the hill. It was almost like I had my own lead
out. Everything broke just perfect. I was on the right and a guy on
the left went before me. I passed him just a little before the finish
as the hill got steeper and just kept going as hard as I could, scared
to death that someone was going to catch me.
I couldn't believe I had won. I was ecstatic. I've been trying to
win for a long time and it feels great to finally get one.
Thanks for all the support from the team. It's great to be in a
club with guys and gals like y'all.

Richie

Richie

Hey Tom, and Velocity!
Things are going well, thanks for asking.  I'm getting ready for my first race of the season--
the Tucson Bicycle Classic.  There will be a 60 mile road race, a 3 mile time trial, and a circuit race.  Can't wait!

Richie, you're baaaaad, man!
