See my newly-arrived S&S BTC frame here:

  http://picasaweb.google.com/danorton/SAndSBTC

The frame comes apart and the entire bike fits into a standard size piece of luggage that is below the over-sized baggage size for commercial air travel.  Almost all airlines now charge $50-$100 each way for a bike case.  (In addition to excess baggage charge if its not included within your two-piece limit.)

I bought this used frame on eBay for $255 and had it shipped directly to a company in Philadelphia that installs them for $460 plus $250 for touching up the paint afterwards: http://www.bilenky.com/

If there's any interest, I can bring it to the meeting next Monday. (I expect to have all the components on by then.)

One of the things I've discovered is that I can finish in zone 2 and still get a good workout. The result is that I sometimes finish alone but healthy. I told you I was going to reduce my pace a little.

Thanks for thinking about me at Akins. The trip home was no problem. Although I considered taking Congress north, I took the usual route up Emerald, Bannister, and Zilker to Mopac bridge before heading home.

Let's do it again sometime soon. I have to do more base mileage workouts.

Hey John,

I forgot you were going to meet us at the Creedmore store, so James and I went on.  Robert stopped though, and didn't see you.  Then we all waited at Akins, not sure if you knew the route home to Possum Trot.  Glad all ended well...

25 mph gusts here in Cambridge, England are keeping me off the bike today.  I've only been able to rack up 100 miles during this two-week visit, and with all the beer and "chips" (french fries) and chocolates I've been eating, just don't let me build up my momentum on a flat straightaway, because I'll keep rolling for a while.  I'm still planning on the 90-mile, 5700-vertical-feet LIVE STRONG ride, so I'll be on the trainer or on the road every day once I get back and until my collarbone graft surgery.

Probably not "opossum" since that's not the name of the road.  Neither would it be the plural, "the possum trots," which I believe is an ailment of the digestive tract.

With respect to humiliation, the way you've been riding lately Tom, you'll be the "humiliatOR" rather than the "humiliatEE".

Perhaps our Velocity member (known most recently as "Mr. San Antonio") will be on hand to serve up some "Spice".

I think I'll do the Possum Trot.  Who else will be doing which one?

8:00 am?? OK.

But, Possum Trot or New Sweden?

I need about 3 hours either way.

Senior games are coming up, and I'd like to get in some AT work in the course of a long ride, so Possum Trot with some surges sounds good to me.

Hi, all,
I'm looking into weekend rides, and I'd love to have a club ride one of the
days.

What's everybody up to? I know the Rip-Roaring Ride is Saturday, but I'm not
down with driving to Liberty Hill.

Best,
Robert

I pre-registered for Rip-Roaring: (108-miles). Here's
where all those long rides pay off.

Gerry, New Sweden on Saturday?  How far do you want to ride, and how hard?

Frank, since you will not be riding your ride, I’d like to do the New Sweden Shuffle.  Any takers?  Would love to ride with you guys.

I'm the Ride Starter for the new ACA ride, Uhl Love It, in Smithville.  I will
not be able to actually ride the ride, though, as I'll have to head over to
Bryan for a football game.  I'll also be out of town on Sunday.
