It appears I am the only Vancouver hasher who will be going to Interamericas in Toronto over the labour day weekend.
One of the things we'll be doing is voting for bids to host the next event in 2007. There are two bids, one from San Francisco, the other Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Every kennel gets two votes. I'd like to have some input from the pack before I vote.
Both bids have their advantages. San Francisco is within driving distance, especially if three or four people travel in the same vehicle and share the cost of gas. There are several good hashes in the Bay area who would probably do an excellent job of organising the event.
Puerto Vallarta, on the other hand, has some nice terrain, the beer is cheaper than coke and it's a great place to party. I went there in 2002 and enjoyed it. Air fares there are fairly cheap. There's always a special because it's such a popular holiday spot.
If you're thinking of going to an Inter Americas, let me know which bid you favor.
