April Fools fest is on.  I have a young group of recent UCONN
alum,(who can actually run +play!) that are interested.
So oil up your knee braces, strap on your active ankles, start your
zone diet, whatever and get ready to play this April.

Even if you think you are too slovenly to make a run at actually
moving around on a field, you are expected to be there and provide
some excellent, seasoned heckling and beer drinking. (yeah some of you
should only be drinking light beer at this time...)

My guess is that it is the last and only shot of having a real reunion
team.

Pass this on to whomever you can from that era.

Why didn't they place this thing near the ROTC bldg? I think the chem

Instead, we are now going to have a hat tournament on Sunday, October 26
only, starting at 9:00am. Its going to be $10 a person, with the proceeds

Okay, l will 'splain it better.... :)

NOTE: To navigate around the Gallery, look for the links at the top left side of each page, and on some pages, the bottom left side.

1. Go to the main page of the gallery http://ctultimatealumni.com/gallery2/main.php

2. Click on the first picture, it's above the caption "Album: Our Reunion Games" http://ctultimatealumni.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=26

3. Click on the first picture, it's above the caption "Album: 2008 Reunion" http://ctultimatealumni.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=683

4. Decide where you want to put the pictures you are adding, and click on the picture above that album's name. For example, "Friday Party". Once you are in the "Friday Party Album" you will see a bunch of pictures. As of this email, there are about 20 in there. Now look to the left side of the page, there is a list of options. Click "ADD ITEMS". That will allow you to add items to that album.

5. It looks like you have to select each photo individually, but if you Zip (compress) up to about 10 photos then you only have to select that zipped folder. The total size you can upload at once is 8 megabytes. Photos can be 1 to 6 mb, depending on your camera. For example, last night I uploaded a zipped files, it was 6 mb and had 8 pictures in it.

It will ask you to register. This prevents hacking, etc. The register link is at the top right corner. You will need to create a username and password. KISS, People. And write them down somewhere nearby.

If you don't already know this, it's Spring Weekend at UConn.  And if
you don't know what that means, it's the party of the year.  It starts
Thursday and goes all weekend. Most undergrads will not be sober until
next Monday night.

I sent a message to the current team and gave them all the details of
  our events. I also told them not to sweat about bringing stuff to the
parties (college kids' budgets) and that if they need rides to let us
know.  We don't want our youngun's driving drunk or missing out b/c
they don't have a ride.

So I will let you know if I get any requests and thanks in advance.

I did find that if I click on the link in Becky's original posting, I
also get the "document not found" error.  However, when I actually READ
Becky's post, and followed her directions (click on the "Database" link
on the left), it did work.  Interestingly, the URL displayed in the
address line is the same for both.  Go figure...

I'd like to believe it works ok, b/c other people have added their info. So, assuming that it IS working. When you get to the database page, look at the top of the page. Are you still signed in? In our Yahoo group's database, you can see exactly who is going, how many people they are bringing and what they will bring to the party. And you all can do it yourself. No excel spreadsheets to update and email out to everyone. Too, yeechy!

You have bookmarked the Yahoo group, right? Well, since you forgot, click on one of the links in this email, there are several - at the top and bottom. Now bookmark it! Okay, when you get there, you may or may not be signed in. Look at the very top of the page and see if you are signed in to yahoo.

Okay, now if you are signed in, half way down on the left, you will see a menu list in a light blue box. The first is HOME or MESSAGES, below that you will see DATABASES. Click on DATABASES. In the next screen you will see... a table! Ha! You thought I was going to say database, didn't you?

Carrying on here, the only table there is called REUNION PARTY 2008. Click directly on that title. Now you will see some names in a list, Becky & Dennis are at the top. To add your info, click on ADD RECORD - it is in blue, in the middle of the page, just above AND below the "Records". Now add your information. You can edit it later if necessary. Then click the blue ADD RECORD button and you're done.

Hi. I am one of the old sages from years gone past. Do not fear me.
I highly encourage you to consider inviting 40+ of your closest friends to this location for the Saturday night post-game wrap-up, re-take, embelishment, fact-spinning and other-wise pointless event of nothing-ness.
It might provide an interesting venue for political careers to be ended (ask Senator Braister - Boob) or any of the others that wish the dice had rolled another way 10-30 years ago.

I will support refreshments - not to worry.

Ok, here goes. So I've only ever sat at my little computer and "listened in" on all this great disc chatter, feeling a bit like a member of Homeland Security. But now seems like a good time, as any, to pipe up! So I have never attended a Alumni weekend, and may not attend this one either (I cant remember why but Ill get on that soon) but I did play from 85 to 90, live 10 min, from the Mother Ship in Coventry, count Rob and Pam Miller and the Cronin's as good buddies and have a big house with empty bedrooms, lots of lawn, no toddlers who need to nap and just a general all around good feeling about all the great things that flow over these internet ways. So having said all that, I would be happy to have my house be a destination for any alums and theirs the weekend of the big tado. Private room with a bath, all at a reasonable price and I promise to leave the light on. So pass the word, drop me a line, let me know how I can help. I have no clever nick name, I'm just

Welcome to you Yahoo Group. You can post all you want here and people won't get 20 emails a day. Ha!

If you are a member of this group, you can VERY EASILY CONTROL the amount of emails you will get.

1. Sign in - at the VERY top of the yahoo page next to YAHOO SPORTS! it will say "sign in" if you aren't already.
2. Just below the HUGE ad banner at the top, it will say "edit membership" in tiny letters. Click on that.
3. Select the option you want, probably Daily Digest or Get No Emails.
4. Done.

So it's official...the 2008 Alumni Game Organizing Quorum is in effect.

Our 4th Annual Reunion has been scheduled for the weekend of April 26,
2008. ALL alumni, current UConn Ultimate players and anyone that feels
they were influenced by UConn Ultimate are always welcome at our Reunions.
