I detest 11-up with a passion; you may as well turn up in a suit,
dinner jacket and bow tie, hiot for 3 seconds and then move to the
next sport with the amount of playing time it sometimes gives you.
Because knocking up, finding your opponent, moving between sports
grabbing a quick drink of water and looking for your next racket
takes up so much match time (I'd like to do some research into this -
in fact I will) compared to perhaps what it should do, increasing
the length of games from 11 to 21 certainly doesn't double the time.
Because of course all the preparation bits (mentioned above) will
remain the same in duration, but you will play twice as many points -
this will make matches much more efficient if you look at the "time
spent playing points vs the time spent faffing about" ratio.
I have now decided to prove myself right and write a questionnaire
for everyone at the next event to fill out.

Sundays is preferable to Saturdays if one day only - some people
have to work on Saturdays or have other commitments!

the venue so finding sympathetic venues is key. What about a
discount if you play a certain number of tournaments during the
year? Play 6 get 1 half price!! Sorry, Keith, don't know if we can
afford that.....

Sat/singles on Sun) is probably the way forward for the majority of

that once you have played 4 events you get the value of that license

would be £2.50. Something along those lines.........

Sports Village are being tabled as potential venues. Any thoughts on
dates? Would a summer camp suit, or a spring or winter camp? When
would be best? Loads of players, loads of practice, winning formula?

value for money / should we charge more/less in 2008 / how does this
compare to other sports, people participate in? Do you think a
racketlon membership fee is a good idea and how much should be
charged for this, what could/should it include? Would a per
tournament license fee work v a season license fee?

and band as players tend to enter both creating a difficult schedule
and sometimes too tough on stamina? Whats the optimum - one day 11
tournaments? Say 8 a year? Two day 21 tournaments, 4 a year? Stick
to one scoring system? Is 15 ok? Whats best?

approval is with Sports England, Companies House have the
documentation. And up to date content on racketlon.co.uk - which is
still being worked on.
