Ed Johnson - Terrible News   Message List

I'm very sad and shocked to hear about the tragic death of Ed Johnson
who was involved in a motorbike accident on 2nd July 06.

Ed was like many very keen on his racketlon and a decent squash and
tennis player, who was getting coaching in table tennis and badminton
for the last few months. I only had the pleasure of meeting Ed a few
times, but I found him to be extremely friendly and energetic. He
played in the last British Championships and also in the Czech Open
in Prague in March where he played against multi-time world champion
Magnus Eliasson.

I knew Ed much better, like most of you from his posts on this forum
and also the many emails we exchanged about racketlon and also the
new www.racketlon.co.uk website, which Ed was such an important part
in making. Ed was a marketing director for Internet Company Fasthosts
and also published the website http://www.racketathon.com

He was also very proud of his family and if anyone feels like crying
they can visit www.edjohnson.co.uk

My heart goes out to his wife, friends, family and most of all to his
poor, young children.

Im planning to write a letter to Ed's family to express my deepest
condolescences, if anyone else wants to also, Im happy to pass on the
address and correspondance details.

Sorry to bear bad news,

all the best,

keith
