Keith,
Gotta say im loving the new website design.
There is one small thing though... I have in the past been called many names, many bad things. Some of these names have on occasion (yes im man enough to say it) caused a tear to fall. Being Ginger I have taken this on the chin and built up a resistance to name calling....
'theres mike... he's ginger and stinks of piss'
but never in all my years have I been so insulted... so degraded... i feel dirty...

Subject: The English Open is Live - Press Release June 26thDear Racketloners far and wide,Online Registration for this year’s English Open (19th-22nd October) is now live via partner website www.activeeurope.com. ActiveEurope has administered online entry for over 40,000 events. Available in 7 languages, it is the easiest, quickest and most secure way to sign on to an array of sporting events all aroundEurope .This year’s English Open represents an exciting time for UK Racketlon, the Scottish Open is also coming up in September. Growth at the pace we are experiencing is almost unprecedented anywhere in the world. With so many racket players for each component sport, racketlon certainly has the potential to flourish for many years to come. The newly designed racketlon.co.uk website (re-launched 22/06/2006) certainly lays some great foundations. This year’s event sees a change of venue and as represented by the pilot British Championships in April, the Next Generation Centre in Dudley,West Midlands , is an excellent host. The surrounding area is also very interesting and airport links and accommodation very strong. We again have secured the services of inspirational referee Mick Strode. Within the English table tennis circuit, Mick is widely regarded as the best in the business. Therefore, we are confident the draw and scheduling will again run smoothly. Alongside a range of illustrious volunteers currently at around twenty people, we hope to put on the event of a lifetime. Contact as already been made with the national governing bodies for each sport, who are confirming the availability of officials in due course. Sport Birmingham are keen to have a strong involvement and such a bright, exciting concept has really stirred quite a lot of interest around the Midlands area.A big part of the 2006 British & Irish Racketlon Tour, The 5th Annual English Open is set to be somewhat spectacular. A 4 day event with Thursday 19th October doubles only starting proceedings until the grand finale on Sunday 22nd. With £1185 prize money and a number of new categories and innovations, this is an event not to be missed. Indeed, the build up to the tournament sees The South of England Open in Eastbourne (shuttles for international players from Gatwick airport) and The East Anglian Open Racketlon Championships inIpswich (close to Stansted airport and prize money of £1050!!). Both events therefore are attractive for international participants taking place on 22nd/23rd July and 2nd/3rd September respectively.Racketlon is still such a new sport, it is probable half of our practice partners or club mates don’t even know what it is. If we keep spreading the word, keep uncovering talent and enthusiasm, the sky’s the limit! Of course friends, family and work colleagues are all welcome at the English Open, where spectators can enjoy top quality international sport free of charge. Anyone interested in sponsorship can contact me directly. Any volunteers are welcome. Please find attached our poster for display at your clubs and centers.More information is available via racketlon.co.uk/events and activeeurope.com, can’t wait to see you all there. All the best,Keith Lesser2006 British & Irish Tour Co-Ordinatorwww.racketlon.co.ukwww.activeeurope.com
