As you may already noticed, there's another Chinese tennis group.
And you may noticed I am actually familiar with almost all members
of their group. So some of you may ask the question that why we
don't join together and make one bigger group? Here is the reason :

Several years ago, there's only one Chinese tennis group here at
Iowa City. Then several members like to leave the group and form a
smaller group. I don't want to limit people from leaving our group
as they all have their freedom. One thing I don't like particularly
is, they tried to recruit our members to their group when they need
more players. Every year there're some people graduated or leave so
we all need to face this problem.

I like all Chinese people here united but some people don't think
this way. When we have more than 10 people, it's more difficult to
orgnize so some people like to form a group of 4-6 people.

My opinion to the other group : it's fine to play with them
occasionally when they have one person short or we have one person
short. But unless they talk to us about joining the two groups,
don't ask them to join our group.

Jinzhou is pretty busy recently so he will not take care of the
accounting work of our group. From Feb. 1 to now, here are the
financial activities :

Li Zhanchong and Sun Yuansheng did the bank account. So we got $40.
Andrew, Chen Jian, Zeng Keming and I paid $20.00. So we got
$20x4=$80.

We bought a new punch card for the indoor tennis reservation for
$124.00. 12 cans of balls for $20.88.

Our Feb 1 balance is $115.12. So here is our balance as of today
(March 31st) :

$115.12 + $40 + $80 - $124 - $20.88 = $90.24.

Also, we have 11 plays on the punch card (1 play is for one court
one hour), 9 cans of balls.

I didn't get the $20 from Zhang Jinzhou, Jiang Xuguang and Liu Jin.
If you already did the bank account, please tell me. If you haven't,
I suggest you go to do the bank account.

As our financial situation, I think there'll be no need to collect
any more membership fees before the next winter season. But if
there's any new member join, we should collect $20 from them. People
are just more serious about the playing when they pay money out of
their pocket. Of course, we need to buy balls.

it's warm today but it looks like it will be very windy at night. So
let's play inside. I got court 3 and 4 at the Recreation Building.
Let's play there tonight.

From now on, if the weather is good, we will play outside even on
Wednesday. City Park has lights at night. We try to say our indoor card
for bad weather.
