sensei jon keeling is coming to teach a clinic at ucsc- plus kyu (colored belt) test- saturday, dec. 3, 10am-12 !
jon keeling, 4th dan in the japan karate association, recieved his rank while living in tokyo and training in the hoitsugan (master nakayama's home dojo) and the honbu (the jka tokyo home dojo) where both he and sensei jeremy peck represented tokyo's team in kata and kumite in the all-japan's, after placing in the top of the all-tokyo's. he presently has his dojo in redwood city, is chief judge for many northern california tournaments, and is one of shotokan's most respected instructors. (see www.jkasv.com/FAQ.html or just google "jon keeling"). there will also be a kyu test after the clinic- (should take 1/2 hour total) and time for Q & A. this is an important event, please try to attend and support our club.
