short notice but this next saturday, august 20th from 3:00 til
6:00 we will have a table for our club at the ucsc fall festival. set
up time is 2:30. it is usually in the field by the fieldhouse, with
parking set upright next to the field. the university provides a
table, we supply the rest. we also have a ten minute demo time on a
stage there.
i will run off a bunch of club flyers and get a sign together.
the demo will probably include some basics, kata, josh mentioned board
breaking, maybe something self defense. any other ideas?
wear your gi, shoes or sandals, and bring a warm jacket and
sunscreen. usually the day is sunny and turns to quite cold if the
fog rolls in. let's get as many of us as possible to sign up
prospective new members. even if you can not be there the whole time,
try to put some time into it. thanks. jonw
