Thank you Jon-W-sensei for you kind words, also for letting me know about the event. Really it was my pleasure being there at the clinics and trained with you all.
The clinic was packed with useful information for executing karate techniques in most effective way, straight and direct, with no excessive movement, which I believe is the core of Shotokan style. When I was a white belt I was always wondering how sensei/older masters got their speed, etc., still wondering thesedays :)
Over time I found the pieces of the answers and most of them were in the clinic last Sunday. Proper body machanics will not make it looks kungfu flashy but simply beauty with lots of force, and speed.
I had a great time.
Osu,
Ekapol.

thanks to everyone for coming sunday. everyone looked good training and also did good
during the exam. i am glad we had a chance to train with both sensei keeling and sensei
peck as well as ekapol (brown belt). ekapol (as well as kai, of course) is a good example of
where you are headed.
we plan on having this event in the middle of each semester so that it will not interfere
with mid-terms or finals. to make things even better, is there any thing you would like to see
in the future clinics? demonstrations? (not political ones!) anything?
if youn have any comments or questions about this one please email me personally.
thanks again. you guys are great. jonw
