Mark,
Here's the budget, notice that there are multiple tabs in the excel worksheet. I
only filled in the last sheet and the future travel sheet, I didn't fill in the
inventory or expected equipment expenditures for 09-10. So look it over if you
would. Also, she wants a hard copy turned in at the meeting as well as a digital
copy submitted via Blackboard.
Thanks,
Call me if you have questions.

Hi Mark, I wanted to send you some details as far as a fundraiser night for your handball club at Lodge bar. I cant tell you exactly how much you will be able to raise. Really, that has to do with how well your club promotes the event to your fellow students and friends. We have several ways to help you with your promoting efforts. We allow your club to collect a door fee of either $5 or $10 from any of your friends and students. So if you invite 500 friends and 200 show up you have the potential to make 1,000 if you charged each of them $5 at the door. Anyone who donates will receive a wristband for a drink special. We have had groups in the past pre-purchase a keg so they can offer anyone who donates free beer. We can work something out where you buy one keg at cost and we will give you one keg as well. or we can do something like $2 drinks for anyone who donates for a three hour
time frame-usually 9-midnight. We can give your group a reserved bar as well. If you wanted to host your fundraiser on a wednesday or a thursday night we could actually provide free transportation to and from campus for your club and all your uc friends. We have a bus that can pick you all up and drop you off. if you prefer to do the event on a friday or saturday i would just need some notice and we can arrange for transportation as well. We would just need a 40 passenger minimum to reserve the bus on a friday or saturday but this is very feasible. As far as promoting the event-some of the ways our most successful fundraisers have raised money is through creating evites, sending out invitations, facebook invites, myspace invites, emailblasts, and posters/flyers. We can create an evite for you with all the information and a club logo if you would like. We will also post the event on our website and include the
event in our weekly newsletter. The more people you can get the word out to about the event the better. We will also give you $25 gift certificates to the lodge for every 10 people who come in for your fundraiser so you can raffle them off and make more money from the raffle as well. I am free this afternoon or tomorrow...please feel free to call me or email me to discuss. We look forward to working with you. Thanks, Lindsay Bartels 312-375-3712

Hi All,
According to the schedule, we have a club sports board meeting on Monday, March 2. What I have decided to do is hold office hours instead, so that teams with budget questions can come in and see me. This is your one opportunity that I'm making myself readily available to discuss your budget before its March 30 due date. Please take advantage of this.
I will be in my office (455 Steger) from 6-7pm to discuss any issues you may have.
Also, just a reminder that End of the Quarter reports are due to me by Friday, March 13 at 5pm. If you are out of season, please just send me an email that you are out of season and will not be turning in an End of the Quarter reports. Reports can be found on blackboard.
If you have any questions, please let me know. No meeting on March 2--just office hours for budget issues.

Hi All,
The following teams have not turned in EOQ Reports. Reminder, if you are out of season, you must email me and let me know that as well.
If you do not have the EOQ report in by 5pm tomorrow to my e-mail, you will receive a 5% deduction in funds and will not be eligible for additional funding requests.
I need to know asap so that I can let Jack Dean know. This tournament is out of our own pockets, and I think that it is usually about 15 bucks to enter two different categories.

Hi All,
Just a reminder that our last club sports board meeting of the quarter will be on Monday, December 1 at 7pm in 3210 CRC. We will be discussing first aid & hazing, so please be prepared for the meeting to last longer than usual.
Also, end of the quarter reports are due by 5pm on Friday, December 5 to my e-mail (nicole.lepone@...). If your sport is not in season, you still must e-mail me that you are not in season and have no report. I have attached a copy of the report to this e-mail. If reports are not in by 5pm on Friday, monetary deductions will begin.
Just a reminder, any club sports meeting missed results in a 5% deduction of your clubs overall funds received for the year, and your club will no longer be eligible for additional funding requests.
Attached is an entry form for the "2009" Youngstown Dinosaurs Handball tournament which will be the weekend of January 23-25, 2009. Please consider joining us at the Youngstown YMCA for a weekend of handball and fun.
I forgot to inform you in my last email that we will be driving there friday night after we both finish working, so we probably won't get their until play is almost finished on friday. Is it possible to make the brackets out so that we play our first matches on Sat. morning?
I held practice last night, and I received the final count on everyone. Sam Schweneman, James Reed, and Spencer Chamberlain will not be able to attend due to family reasons and such, but I will be coming and so will Greg Stein. We will both be playing in the B doubles division as partners and will be playing in the B singles division.
Once again, we deeply appreciate everyone's generocity and just let us know if there is anything we can do at the tournament to help.
Thanks,
Mark

Rick,
Thank you guys all very much! We will find a way to get to the tournament, and we are expecting five people to play in the tournament as of now. We will be having three people playing in the B division singles (Mark Schuette, Sam Schweneman, Greg Stein) and two people playing in the C division singles (James Reed, Spencer Chamberlain). If we can, we were also planning to play doubles in the tournament before we found out that we didn't receive any UC funding. The teams would be Mark Schuette and Sam Schweneman in B doubles, and Greg Stein and James Reed in B doubles. We would then ask to pair Spencer Chamberlain with a partner in the C division doubles.
If we cannot play in both doubles and singles, we completely understand and we are extremely excited to be given the opportunity to attend and compete in your tournament! Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you run / clean up the tournament or anything else that we can help with.
